يتناول البحث جمع ودراسة الأجزاء والكتب الحديثية التي سُميت بأسماء مختصرة تدل عليها وتخفف عناء ذكر أسمائها بتمامها، فقد جمع الباحث بعد استقراء واسع كل ما وقف عليه من هذه الأجزاء، فبلغت تسعة وعشرين كتاباً، ثم عرّف بكل مصنَّف، وعرّف بصاحب الكتاب، وبراويه، وبمنتقيه ومنتخبه، ثم ختم كل كتاب بسرد من سماه بالوصف المختصر الذي اشتهر به، مع ذكر جميع المواطن التي ذُكر فيها في جميع الكتب.
 
The research discusses the compilation and study of the Hadith parts and books that were given abridged titles that refer to them and ease their mention in lieu of the complete title. The researcher, after a comprehensive extrapolation, compiled all that could be found regarding these parts, and they are twenty six books in total, followed by an introduction to each book, and the biography of the author of the book, and its narrators, and its summarizers and selectors, then each book was concluded with those who named it with the abridged description with which it is popular, with a mention of all places where all the books were mentioned.
