تهدف الدراسة إلى تكشيف أدعية المسألة والطلب الواردة فى الأحاديث النبوية بالصحيحين: البخاري ومسلم, عن طريق حصر هذه الأدعية, وتحديد موضوعاتها, وصياغة مداخلها الكشفية وفقاً للأدوات المعيارية؛ لإعداد كشاف موضوعي هجائي تنتظم تحت مداخله المرتبة هجائياً الأدعية الواردة بهذه الأحاديث, ليصبح الكشاف في النهاية أداة لتيسير الوصول لهذه الأدعية من ناحية, وتجميعًا موضوعيًا لها من ناحية أخري.
واعتمد الباحث على منهج تحليل المحتوى (الموضوعي) فى تحليل الأدعية تحليلًا موضوعيًا, بينما تم الاعتماد على كتابي صحيح البخاري ومسلم كمصادر مباشرة فى حصر وتجميع الأدعية النبوية, كما تم بناء لغة الكشاف الاستعانة بقائمة رؤوس الموضوعات العربية الكبرى كأداة عمل معيارية لضبط وتقنين رؤوس الموضوعات بالكشاف, بينما اعتمد الباحث على القائمة الاستنادية بمداخل الأسماء العربية القديمة كأداة متخصصة فى تقنين الأسماء العربية القديمة.
 
The study aims to index  the supplications of question and request mentioned in the Prophetic hadiths in the two Sahihs: Al-Bukhari and Muslim, by inventorying these supplications, defining their subjects, and formulating their index entries according to standard tools.To prepare an objective alphabetical index, under whose alphabetical entries the supplications contained in these hadiths are organized, so that the index ultimately becomes a tool for facilitating access to these supplications on the one hand, and an objective collection of them on the other hand.
The researcher relied on the (objective) content analysis approach in analyzing the supplications objectively, while relying on the books of Sahih al-Bukhari and Muslim as direct sources in inventorying and compiling the prophetic supplications. The language of the index was also built, using the list of major Arabic subject headings as a standard work tool for controlling and codifying the subject headings in the index. While the researcher relied on the authority list of entries for ancient Arabic names as a specialized tool for codifying ancient Arabic names.
